My wife's Xterra broke down just outside Monroe as my nephew was driving. He reported the "check engine" light came on, and shortly thereafter the engine quit running. The car was towed to Monroe Foreign Auto, a business I had no experience with. Mike, the manager (??), was very polite and sympathetic. He told me a mechanic would diagnose the problem, and he would get back to me. Mike called the next day and said the timing belt was broken, and there was slim chance the engine had survived. I asked him to have the mechanic disassemble the engine to determine the extent of damage. Mike reported back later the engine was not damaged, and only needed a new timing belt. The Xterra now runs great. I feel I was treated honestly, and I appreciate that very much.
